Stand-up against bullies! famous people that had experienced bullies before..

Posted by Unknown at 11:25 PM
This is my 4th post so far. I was thinking to myself, 'what should I do with my blog?'
I mean, I wanna post something useful! Or at least informative.. So.. While I was browsing, I came up with dozens of celebs and famous people that used to be bullied. These people were bullied for their looks, style, or even races! Now? They were FAMOUS all around the world for what they do. They're now many times more successful than the bullies..

Emma Watson
Last year (2011), Emma dropped out of Brown University, claiming that she wanted to focus on her acting career, but many said that she was a bullying victim. Classmates often make comments like 'Three points for Gryffindor!' whenever she answers a question. Well, she announced that she'll still be working on her degree, taking an exchange program with Worcester College, Oxford, and still complete her degree at Brown.

You know what I think? I think that their jealous of Emma's success, looks, and brains. Well, she had over $32 million, so TAKE THAT, bullies!

Prince Harry
Well, most people (including me, until I read the article), believed that a prince's life is quite privileged and 'oh-so-pleasant', but prince Harry had experienced bullies himself! Why? Because of his red hair. Harry's friends in the army often called him the 'Ginger bullet magnet', and joke that they should buy ginger wigs to wear in Iraq, so that enemies can't identify the prince.

Well, his hair doesn't determine his success! He's currently serving as a captain in the Army Air Corps. He had honorary military appointments in the Royal Navy and Royal Air. He also act as a patron for some charity organizations such as Sentebale; charity co-founded to support orphans and vulnerable children in Lesotho.

Winona Ryder
Winona's story should be a lesson to any bullies, NOT to bully. You'll be ashamed when you discovered the success of your ex-bullying victim. Winona was brought up in an old hippie commune. Perhaps her style/clothing had made her a bullying victim? Well, she narrated her story as follows:
"I was wearing an old Salvation Army shop boy's suit. As I went to the bathroom I heard people saying, 'Hey, fu***r.' They slammed my head into a locker. I fell to the ground and they started to kick the s**t out of me. I had to have stitches. The school kicked me out, not the bullies. Years later, I went to a coffee shop and I ran into one of the girls who'd kicked me, and she said, 'Winona, Winona, can I have your autograph?' And I said, 'Do you remember me? Remember in seventh grade you beat up that kid?' And she said, 'Kind of.' And I said, 'That was me. Go f*** yourself.'"

Well, I am sure Winona was very proud of herself that time. Way to go, girl!

Tiger Woods
The now famous professional golfer worldwide used to be a bullying victim as well! During his first day at Kindergarten in 1981, he was tied to a tree and were mocked/scorned due to his racial background. Woods also had stuttering problems (wikipedia: "a speech disorder in which the flow of speech is disrupted by involuntary repetitions and prolongations of sounds").
"It was very difficult, but I fought through it. I went to a school to try and get over that, and I just would work my tail off. And I would talk to my dog,"

(Sorry for the messy picture placement!) Anw.. Look at the 6 different pics: He's holding 6 DIFFERENT TROPHIES! Well, It's only a teeny-tiny part of his HUGE collection of trophies anyway.. HAHAHA

Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba is now considered as one of the most beautiful women in the world, but her biracial identity and socioeconomic background causes her to be a bullying victim. She had a Hispanic-European heritage, and her family wan not very economically well-off. She moved to LA when she was 8, living in a small apartment. Her parents struggle and had to survive by doing odd jobs, even at McDonald's.
“I was this incredibly shy, awkward child with buck teeth and a thick Texan accent. …We were totally the odd kids out…,” she recalled. “I was bullied so badly my dad used to have to walk me into school so I didn’t get attacked. I’d eat my lunch in the nurses’ office so I didn’t have to sit with the other girls. Apart from my being mixed race, my parents didn’t have money so I never had the cute clothes or the cool back pack.”

Michael Phelps
Phelps is a now-retired American Swimmer, and the most decorated for all time too, with a total of 22 medals. Phelps' incredible performance in the 2008 Beijing Olympics had earned him the title of greatest Olympian ever with his all-time record for 'most individual gold Olympic medals'-a total of nine.Though he's now dubbed as 'amazing', 'incredible', and 'sportsman of the year', he used to be mocked due to his “sticky-out ears” and lisp, as well as his long arms; which, ironically, the one that helped him in his current success. Phelps, however, took all these mocking to motivation which eventually alleviates him to greatness. oach Bob Bowman reporting, “Michael is the motivation machine — bad moods, good moods, he channels everything for gain.” His story is very inspirational, telling us that you should not only survive all the taunting, but also turn it into motivation as well.

Taylor Swift
She was often bullied in Junior High. Many of her ex-bullies met her when she was famous. “They showed up, wearing my T-shirts and asking me to sign their CDs,” she said. “It was bittersweet, because it made me realize that they didn’t remember being mean to me and that I needed to forget about it too ... Really, if I hadn’t come home from school miserable every day, maybe I wouldn’t have been so motivated to write songs. I should probably thank them!” Ironic, isn't it?? HAHAHA

Bill Clinton
Before being the 42nd president of America, he used to be called a 'fat band boy', with bad taste in clothes. During a Junior high dance, one of his older classmate hit him in his jaw and teased his carpenter jeans. Well, Clinton didn't fight back, for it would give the bully what he wanted all along. Clinton shares in his memoir, My Life, “I had learned that I could take a hit and that there’s more than one way to stand against aggression.” Today, his former 'geeky band player' status had transformed into a talented and celebrated saxophone player, besides being the President of America, that is.

Tyra Banks
Despite of her sexy good looks, and her success as a model, she was bullied as a teenager. Tyra was being picked on for being tall and skinny. “People called me Olive Oyl, Lightbulb Head, and Fivehead, because my forehead was so big.” She was teased for being a stick: 5’11” in height and only 125 lbs in weight.
I think people are jealous because she's beautiful and slender? haahaha

Christian Bale
HA! This is one of Crystal's favorites too !! (If I am not mistaken.. She just loovvee too many actors that I can loose track of them! Hahaha)
When Bale's first movie "Empire of the sun" came out, he was only 13 years old. However, he was instantly hated at school! (See? I told you bullies are just jealous!)
“It was not a great time. I was a victim of bullying and had other kids kicking and punching me every day. It was an early lesson in how making a film can set you apart. If you don’t want to live with the consequences then don’t make the film. But that didn’t help at the time. I was confused about other people’s reactions to me, both good and bad. It can mess anyone up.
Now he turned out to be a successful actor, starring in the latest Batman movie!

There's MANY MORE public figures that had been bullied and 'made it' today. If you want more information, you could visit (Credits to these sites too!):

The point for bullying victims out there is, don't let bullies make you feel inferior! Turn all their taunts and mocks into motivation for greatness. Look at Michael Phelps, for example!
Learn to accept yourself. Michael Phelps had long arms, and he was bullied for it. He accepted himself and work hard for greatness. Today, his so-called 'long-arms' had brought him to greatness! If Michael hadn't do it, he may not be someone he is right now.
Bullies bullied you for many reasons, your appearances, socioeconomic background, races, or gender, don't let them get you!
Some reasons they bully you might be because they're jealous. In my view, Emma Watson was bullied for all her great success and accomplishments. People were simply jealous of her. So DON'T let bullies make you mentally down. Turn it into motivation, work hard, and the next time you meet them, situations might had turn the other way round!

All right, this is too much for me.. I've took 2.5 hours to make this post.. Hahahaha...
Guess it's the end of it today! Btw, I just realize that I enter the post of the actors/actresses in a female-male-female-male sequence! I didn't do THAT on purpose! What a COINCIDENCE... Hahahaha
